The Strategic Partner Engagement Manager is a key position that will be accountable for the day-to-day facilitation and leadership of a group of Customer Relationship Managers that supports Federal Grants Management solutions to Federal agencies through the Grants Center of Excellence (

He/she will be working within the Grants Center of Excellence (COE) Partners Services team and will be responsible for assisting in developing strategic roadmaps for our various partner engagements as well as helping to expand our services in the federal government.  The person is responsible for working across organizational lines to achieve the desired project goals and provide strategic direction to the other PPDs that is in line with the overall organization roadmap.  He/she will work closely with the Project Manager, Product & Services Director, and Director of Partner Services.

Partner Management  
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen partner relationships.
  • Builds a knowledge base of each partner’s business, organization and objectives.
  • Manages day-to-day partner interaction.
  • Sets and manages partner expectations against business objectives.
  • Develops lasting relationships with partner personnel that foster partner collaboration.
  • Communicates effectively with partners to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.




  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of professional experience in information technology or associated field or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training
  • 5 years of project & account management or equivalent experience in a client facing capacity working with senior level business professionals
  • Proven leadership skills in managing people/teams and resources to desired outcomes
  • Knowledgeable in the concepts of and proficient in the application of project management methodologies and account management engagement approaches
  • Experience of the Federal Grants Business Process and of key Federal Enterprise Grants Management is desired
  • Knowledge and experience with HHS Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) is required
  • Excellent people skills and strong EQ from a managerial and leadership perspective
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess strong conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Experience in a client facing role and maintains a strong client services mindset
  • Confidence working with and interfacing with clients across different parts and levels of the business
  • Willingness to embrace technology and tools used to deliver high levels of service
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Extremely comfortable in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent time-management, ability to multi-task, and prioritize effectively
  • Local travel to Washington, DC
  • Non US Citizens must have lived in the United States for the last 36 consecutive months to meet the residency requirement for the clearance


  • Schedule Management – knowledge and experience with Microsoft Project
  • Experience with Government Contracts a plus
  • Experience with Federal Grants business and program performance management
  • Experience in business process reengineering
  • Professional certifications in project management, key account management, and other associated field
